Math/Science/Social Studies Program Learning Facilitator (Full-Time Grant Position): The Carbondale Community High School Rebound grant program is accepting applications for a Math/Science/Social Studies Program Learning Facilitator. A bachelor’s degree is required, and an Illinois Secondary Professional Educators License is preferred.  Other preferred attributes include excellent human relations and communication skills and prior experience with adolescent low- and under-achievers and/or with adult education.  Duties include teaching high school credit classes in the areas of algebra I and II, geometry, biological, physical and environmental science and social studies; along with, an integrated curriculum in a workforce class specific to health service and manufacturing. This is a full-time position, 35 hours/week; summer session at 28 hours/week. Teacher Aides and Hall Monitors: Carbondale Community High School District 165 is accepting applications for Teacher Aide and Hall Monitor positions for the 2017-18 school year. 

A valid Illinois Professional Educator License registered in Jackson County is required for these positions. 

The teacher aide rate of pay is $10.23 per hour.  

The hall monitor rate of pay is $12.14 per hour.

                 Substitute Employment Opportunities

Substitute Teachers
Carbondale Community High School District 165 is accepting applications for Substitute Teachers for the 2017-18 school year. The Substitute Teacher daily rate of pay is $82.00 (including TRS). Substitute Teachers are employed on an as needed basis. Substitute Teachers are paid by direct deposit on the 25th of each month for the days worked the preceding month. The following documentation is required to be placed on the district roster of Substitute Teachers:

2. Copy of Regional Office of Education #30 Substitute Teacher Authorization Form
