Boys and Girls Bowling Practice will be at 3:15 today at SIU.

Attention students, Float Friday and Pizza day planned for this Friday has been postponed. We will keep you updated.

Don't miss the CCHS Scholar Bowl team compete on Scholastic Hi-Q this Sunday, November 8th, on WSIU-TV Channel 8 at 5:00 pm, their first round of the 2018-2019 season.  They are the defending champions. 

Attention FBLA - If you are planning to compete at Southern Area Conference please check your email and sign up for your event ASAP!  Also you can pickup fundraising forms from Mrs. McGee today in H106.

Attention Juniors...we need your help in the concession stand over break.  Sign up sheets are posted on the bulletin board behind the blue room in the H Hallway! 

Monday, November 26th is the last day to turn in Winter Bleacher Bum t-shirt and Terrier Ugly Sweater orders to the principal's office.  Extra order forms can be found in your CCHS email or picked up in Attendance or the Principal's Office.  Please bring exact change.

A big thank you to all who donated at the blood drive on Wednesday.  We collect 128 pints which will save 384 lives.

Congratulations to James Oberg on being named 2018 Southern Illinois Soccer Player of the year!  Great job James!

Congratulations Madeline Huggins on winning the IHSA Swimming Sectionals in the 100 yard Breaststroke.  Maddy will compete in the IHSA State Championships this weekend.  Great Job Maddy!

Congratulations to Coach Lee and the Terrier Football Team on being named the 103.5 ESPN Team of the Year! 

Winter Bleacher Bum t-shirt order forms were passed out in all English classes last week.  Completed order forms and $10 payment must be turned in to the principal's office by Monday, November 26th.  Joining winter bleacher bums will get you free admission to all CCHS winter sporting events.  Fall Bleacher Bum shirts and athletic cards will not gain you free entry into winter sporting events.

Terrier Ugly Sweatshirts can be ordered from the Student Council for $20 through Monday, November 26th.  Check your CCHS email, the attendance office or the principal's office for order forms.  Payment and order forms must be turned in to the principal's office by November 26th.

ATTENTION STUDENT COUNCIL MEMBERS:  Please check your CCHS email for important Student Council information about upcoming events and deadlines.  Student Council members going to the Fall Leadership Rally tomorrow at Marion High School, please meet at the Walnut St. Doors by 8:20 am tomorrow.  Also please wear your Student Council t-shirt.

EXTRA PLAYOFF SHIRT SLEEVE T-SHIRTS can be bought in the athletic office for $10. Medium- XL are available.

JUNIORS/SENIORS: If you would like to take a JALC dual enrollment course (online or at the JALC campus) please leave a note for Mrs. Sabens, Dual Credit Coordinator, or email her asap.

SENIORS: Be sure to keep checking your school email from Mrs. Koester.  Information about college applications and the FAFSA is updated weekly.

THE CCHS "LATE BUS" runs Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays.  It departs Giant City entrance at 5:00 and makes various stops around Carbondale and De Soto.  The late bus is available for anyone attending Terrier Tutoring, clubs, or athletics.

TERRIER TUTORING is in room B204 of the Media Center/Library. on TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, AND THURSDAY from 3:15-4:45 pm.  Come and get help with Math, Science and English.

COUNSELING DEPARTMENT:

SOPHOMORES, JUNIORS, AND SENIORS!  Be sure to login to Naviance regularly to check out the college visit opportunities this fall.  To receive a pass to meet with admission representatives you MUST register through your Naviance account.  These meetings are a great way to learn more about your college options and to demonstrate interest in specific colleges and universities.  See your counselor or Ms. Murphy with any questions.
