ANNOUNCEMENTS:

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE TERRIER VOLLEYBALL TEAM on their win over Mt. Vernon last night!  The Terriers Finish the Regular season 29-6!  Also, Maddie Misner surpassed 1,000 career kills.  Great job Terriers!

CONGRATULATIONS TO SOPHIE DIBIASE on a Fantastic Tennis season.  Sophie finished 1-2 at the IHSA State Tournament.

THE CCHS BOOSTER CLUB will be selling Spirit Wear today, Friday, October 20th, during the lunch periods. 

COMPUTER CLUB will meet today, Friday, October 20th, in Mr. Dollins’ room D103.

ATTENTION JUNIORS:  Stop by the tables across from the auditorium today for a free slice of pizza and drink for winning the homecoming spirit stick. Congratulations, Juniors!

RETAKE PICTURE DAY will be held in the foyer of the gym on WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 25th from 7:30 - 3:00 pm.  This will be the last time Iconik Studios will be on campus for the year. 

BLOOD DRIVE SIGN-UPS will be held Tuesday and Wednesday (October 24th & 25th) across from the cafeteria during both lunch hours.  16 and older can donate.  16 year olds must have a signed permission slip. The blood drive will be held on Nov. 2nd in the back gym.

GOOD LUCK TONIGHT TO THE FOOTBALL TEAM as they host Harrisburg in their season finale on Senior Night at 7pm.  Come on out and support your Terriers! Zombie Theme Game!

GOOD LUCK TO THE CROSS COUNTRY TEAM tomorrow at Regionals.  The Terriers compete at Alahambra, IL. The Girls will run at 10am and the Boys at 10:45.  Let's Go Terriers!

GOOD LUCK TO THE BOYS SOCCER TEAM tomorrow as they host the Regional Championship at 1pm against Carterville-Herrin.  Admission is $5.  Come on out and cheer on your Terriers!

PRIOR ANNOUNCEMENTS

SCIENCE CLUB meeting scheduled for today has been cancelled and rescheduled for next Tuesday, October 24th, right after school.  You will need to pick up your permission slip for the zoo trip on November 11th.

JUNIORS:  Calling all hard working, awesome juniors!  We have new sign-up sheets outside Mrs. Nelson's classroom--H 105--for games Monday and Tuesday night next week!  Come sign up now before all the spots are filled!  Come have fun and work toward a free prom ticket!

COUNSELING: Monday-Wednesday of next week, please stop by the tables outside of the cafeteria to pick up your first quarter report card from your counselor. Counselors will also have information for you to help you make the most of 2nd quarter. Be sure to stop by for your information!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE MARCHING TERRIERS on being the highest scoring band overall at SIU's Homecoming Parade on Saturday. This is two consecutive weekends of winning grand champion in your contest! Good luck in your 1:15 Field Show Performance at SIU's Stadium this coming Saturday!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE STUDENTS OF THE CCHS MUSIC DEPARTMENT on their placements in All-District Organizations. Five Terrier Musicians qualified for band, sxi for orchestra, five for chorus, and four for Jazz Band

GSA:  Those interested in the GSA picnic on Friday, October 20th, need to stop by Mrs Bottje’s room before Thursday at 3:00. 

FRIDAY NIGHT'S FOOTBALL GAME against Harrisburg is Senior Night and has a zombie theme.  So channel your inner zombie and support your senior athletes.

BOYS BOWLING TRYOUTS will be held Monday and Tuesday next week, October 23rd and 24th, at the SIU Student Center bowling alley at 4:15 p.m.  In order to try out, you must have a physical on file with the athletic office and have a red tryout card.  Balls and shoes will be provided at no cost to students.

LIFESAVERS:  Anyone needing to turn in the LifeSaver retreat information needs to be in by this Friday, October 20th.  Please give to Mrs. Wheeler.

THIS WEEK IS COOK APPRECIATION WEEK.  Take a moment to let the cooks know how awesome they are and how grateful we are for what they do each day!

OCTOBER IS NATIONAL BUY A YEARBOOK MONTH:  The DIAL Yearbook Staff will be running different contests and sales throughout the month.

FCCLA: This is the last week for FCCLA to collect the yellow football helmet bottle caps. Please bring them to Mrs Jordan or Ms. Love.

THE DEMOCRACY SCHOOL COMMITTEE will be hosting a voter's registration drive Wednesday and Thursday (October 18th & 19th), during both lunch hours across from the cafeteria.  To register, students must be 18 by November 7th, 2017, and have a valid state ID.  Students who register will receive extra credit in government.  Another drive will be held in the spring for those who are not 18 by the November 7th deadline.

FRIDAY IS THE JUNIOR CLASS PIZZA PARTY for winning the Homecoming Spirit Stick. All juniors will receive a slice of pizza and a drink during lunch.

FALL BLOOD DRIVE: Sign-ups for the fall blood drive will take place next week during lunch.  Students 16 and older can donate (16 year olds must have a signed permission slip by a parent to donate).  Extra credit will be given in government and American history classes to those who donate. The blood drive will take place on November 2nd in the back gym.

THE DIAL YEARBOOK STAFF is starting a yearbook layaway program in October.  Pay $20 down, then $20 in November, and December to order your copy of the 2018 yearbook before the price increases in January.  Stop by the yearbook office (J119/across from Terrier Care) to start paying on a yearbook today!

JUNIORS/SENIORS DATE CHANGE: Students planning to take a Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment course next semester who need to take the placement exam need to sign up ASAP. The Accuplacer will be administered here on October 20th. Check your email for details!

PRE-ORDERED COPIES OF THE 2017 DIAL YEARBOOK can be picked up before school, during lunch, or after school in the yearbook (across from Terrier Care). Extra copies of the 2017 DIAL Yearbook can be purchased for $65.
