SCRAPBOOK CLUB will meet today, Wednesday, December 15th, in Mrs. Jordan’s room at 3:15 pm. 

IMPROV TROUPE, we will be having our final meeting directly after school today, Wednesday, December 15th. We will meet in Mr. Berrey’s room to watch the recording of the Fall Showcase. Bring snacks, you’d like!

INTERACT will be meeting today, Wednesday, December 15th, right after school. Please meet up right outside the Attendance Office. We will be outside, wear your coat! All are welcome to join us!

INTERNATIONAL CLUB will meet tomorrow, Thursday, December 14th, after school at 3:05, in the Walnut St hallway. 

STUDY JAM FOR SCIENCE FINALS...Science Club is sponsoring a study jam tomorrow, Thursday, December 14th, from 3-4:45PM in room D201 and a few other science rooms.  Science teachers will be available to help you study for final exams in many science areas.  Chemistry, biology, genetics are a few!  Join us to improve your final exam score! See Mrs. Asaturian or Marissa Ivory for more details.

WORLD LANGUAGES HONORS APPLICATIONS are now available from your World Language teacher or Mr. Taylor. Applications are due back no later than January 12th.

CONGRATULATIONS TO NAUDIA JOHNSON who will be signing today (12/12) at 2:45 to play volleyball next year at John A Logan College.   Great job Naudia, GOOD LUCK!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE VARSITY SCHOLAR BOWL TEAM on their win at the Edwards County Tournament last Thursday.  They remain undefeated in conference play, and Jaden Lucas was MVP.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM on their 49-33 Win over Mt. Vernon. Great win Terriers!

SENIORS! Be sure to check your email before break for an updated scholarship listing from Mrs. Murphy. Winter Break is a great time to research and complete scholarship applications once you are caught up on your sleep!

JUNIORS!  New opportunities to work in the concession stand are posted on the bulletin board outside H-105.  Come sign up now and save your spot!  Games this Friday, and next Tuesday are waiting for you!

AMERICAN FLAGS: Please check your homes for old flags that need to be retired.  Our local Boy Scott Troop is currently collecting them. You may drop them off at the Principals Office.  Thank you.

2018 DIAL YEARBOOK: Only one month remains to purchase the 2018 DIAL Yearbook for the first semester price of $60.  Stop by the yearbook office before or after school to purchase. 

COUNSELING ANNOUNCEMENTS:    

CLASS OF 2020: HOBY, the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership State Leadership Seminar, will be accepting registrations from parents seeking HOBY experience for their children beginning in January of 2018. Founded in 1958, HOBY’s mission is to inspire and develop our global community of youth and volunteers to a life dedicated to leadership, service and innovation. HOBY programs provide students the opportunity to participate in unique leadership training, service-learning and motivation-building experiences. The State Leadership Seminar is 3-4 days of fun, interactive leadership training, meeting state leaders, and making new friends (Dates: 6/14/2018 - 6/17/2018 at Illinois Wesleyan University). SENIORS:  The General Scholarship Application is now available to you. This application puts your name in the pool for up to 40 local awards, and every senior is encouraged to complete one by the deadline of March 1, 2018. Applications can be picked up in the Counseling Office.

Be sure that you are checking out what colleges are coming here to talk with you! Seniors, you can sign up for visits on the clipboard outside of Mrs. Murphy's office. Underclassmen must sign up through Naviance. Directions on how to sign up have been emailed to you!
